Many people strive for a balanced life. Are you one of these folks? What does a balanced life even mean?
A Balanced Life
What DOES it mean to lead a balanced life? It means that YOU are the center of your universe. YOU make the choices for your life. YOU actively choose where to spend your time, split among the five aspects that help you achieve a balanced life:
- Health/self care
- Emotional well-being
- Relationships and family
In theory, each of these five points are equal. So you would spend equal time in each quadrant every day. Is that even possible?
Well, maybe not every day. But you can get better at it. Balance is about keeping watch on all aspects of your life so that nothing gets really out of whack for a lengthy period of time. When it swings out of balance, it's time to re-evaluate, decide what's important, and change what needs to change.
The key is to keep YOU at the center. Be your authentic self and make the best choices you can. I find that even at my age, I have to take time to evaluate and readjust my life periodically.
What Do You Need to Change?
What can you do to bring more balance into your life? Can you make one small change today?
To return to balance a few years ago, I had to change my diet and reduce the stress in my life. I did it slowly by keeping a food journal to discover what was causing my problems. I formalized my process and made my food journal (with instructions) available to you on Amazon. It's called It Ain't Just the Diet FOOD JOURNAL: A Daily Guide to Finding & Managing Your Food Allergies.
In my memoir cookbook, I tell you all about how I healed myself with food, all the tricks I learned to keep myself healthy, and why I am so much healthier at 70 than I was at 55. Pick up a copy of It Ain't Just The Diet COOKBOOK: How I Beat Food Allergies One Bite At A Time and learn my secrets.
