Dill Cucumber Salad

  • 1 large cucumber
  • 1 medium yellow onion (peeled)
  • 3/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon dried dill weed (or 1 tablespoon fresh, finely chopped)


  1. Slice the cucumbers and onions and put them in a bowl. (You can peel the cucumbers if you don’t like the peel.)
  2. In a small bowl, whisk the mayonnaise, sour cream, vinegar, salt and dill weed until thoroughly mixed.
  3. Pour the dressing over the cucumbers and onions and gently mix to coat.
  4. Refrigerate for at least one hour before serving.
