Louisiana Pecan Pie

  • 3/4 cup white Karo corn syrup
  • 1/4 cup butter (or margarine)
  • 3 eggs (well beaten)
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup pecans (chopped, halves or a combination of chopped and halves)
  • 1 Unbaked pie shell


  1. Heat oven to 350F  degrees.

  2. Cream syrup with butter.

  3. Add sugar and eggs.

  4. Beat all thoroughly, then add vanilla and pecans.

  5. Pour into unbaked pie shell and bake in slow oven (350) for about 30 minutes until well set.
