Ingredients
½
head
green cabbage
or purple
2
tablespoons
olive oil
2
tablespoons
sugar
you can cut this in half and it will still be terrific
1
tablespoon
apple cider vinegar
or balsamic vinegar
Salt & pepper to taste
I use about ½ teaspoon salt and ¼ teaspoon pepper
Freshly ground nutmeg
to garnish
Instructions
Slice the cabbage into 1-inch strips, and then cut them in half or into bite-sized pieces.
Heat the oil in a skillet until hot and add the cabbage. Stir to coat the cabbage with oil.
Add the vinegar and sprinkle the suga over the top of the cabbage.
Stir frequently to prevent burning and fry it until it is tender but still crisp.
Add salt and pepper to taste.
When serving, grind a little fresh nutmeg on top.
