Ingredients
2cupsbroccoli florets
2ears corn
1large tomato
2tablespoonsbutter
¼teaspoonsalt
⅛teaspoonpepper
Instructions
Shuck the leaves and corn silk from the corn.
Wash the corn and cut out any bad spots.
Break the corn in half if you need to fit it in a smaller pot.
Put the corn in a pot of water and bring the water to boil.
Boil for about 10-12 minutes until the corn brightens in color and is fully cooked.
In the meantime, set up your vegetable steamer, add the broccoli to the steamer basket, and bring the water to a boil.
As soon as the steamer water begins to boil, turn the burner off. Let it sit for up to 5 minutes before serving.
Serve corn with butter and salt and pepper. In my opinion, the broccoli is delicious without any toppings. Serve with sliced tomato for a complete meal.
