Ingredients

unbaked pie crust

Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips (minis)
(or 2 ounces Baker's Chocolate)
Pie Filling

cup
sugar
1
cup
Karo syrup
1
cup
chopped pecan meats

eggs

tablespoons
butter

teaspoon

Instructions
Prepare the Crust
Either make your own pie crust, or use a ready-made crust.
Spread the chocolate chips or shavings evenly in the bottom of the uncooked crust.
Heat the oven to 300F degrees.
Prepare the filling
Cream butter and sugar.
Add salt, well-beaten eggs, syrup and pecans. (You can put the pecans in chopped or whole.) Mix well.
Fill the pie crust with the pecan filling.
Bake, Cool, Serve
Bake one hour at 300F degrees or until well set.
Let cool to room temperature before serving.
Serve with a side of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream.
