Elvis Brownies: Brownie Mix, Bananas, and Bacon

Make These Brownies - Elvis Would Love Them

If there is one thing we know about Elvis Presley, it’s that he didn’t do anything halfway—especially when it came to his snacks. While the classic peanut butter, banana, and bacon sandwich is the stuff of legends, these Elvis Brownies are a whole new level of indulgence.

The mashed bananas make the brownies incredibly moist, and the salty crunch of fried bacon in the mix and on top cuts the chocolate's sweetness.

    Why This Odd Combo Works

The smokiness of the bacon acts like a flavor enhancer for the cocoa, similar to how a pinch of sea salt makes caramel pop. When you add the peanut butter chips, you’ve got a dessert that hits every single note. It’s a bold, southern-inspired treat that’s perfect for potlucks or whenever you’re craving a little bit of rock 'n' roll in your kitchen.

Elvis Brownies With Bananas And Bacon

    Prep: 25 min
    Bake: 30 min
    Makes: 30 bars

    What You Need:

    9 x 13 in baking pan
    Baking spray
    toothpick

    Ingredients:

    1 box Brownie Mix
    ¼ C water
    ¼ C vegetable oil
    1 large egg +1 yolk
    2 large bananas (mashed)
    2 C bacon (chopped)
    ½ cup peanut butter chips

A metal mixing bowl containing two eggs, mashed banana, chocolate cake mix powder, and a dark liquid, ready to be mixed for baking.

    Directions:

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
    Prep baking pan with spray.
    Fry chopped bacon.
Divide the fried bacon into 1 ½ cups and ½ cup.

Combine brownie mix, water, vegetable oil, eggs, and mashed banana in a large mixing bowl. Beat until combined. Add 1 ½ cups of fried bacon to the batter, along with the peanut butter chips. Stir to blend throughout the batter.

Scoop the batter into the baking pan. Using a spatula, spread the batter throughout the pan.
Sprinkle the remaining ½ cup of fried bacon on top of the batter.

A rectangular baking pan lined with parchment paper is filled with unbaked chocolate brownie batter containing visible white peanut butter chips.

Bake at 350 degrees for 22-25 minutes. (Or until a toothpick inserted near the center of the cake comes out clean).
Transfer the hot brownies to a wire rack until they have completely cooled.

    Quick Tips for Success

To get the best results, make sure your bananas are overripe to boost the brownies' sweetness and moisture. When it comes to the bacon, fry it until it's extra crispy so it holds up against the soft brownie. If you want to go full "Graceland" style, serve these warm with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream or a cold glass of milk. They are guaranteed to be the talk of the party!
