Sure, there are several steps to making these scrumptious cinnamon rolls, but none of the steps are complicated. The whole process just takes a little time. The frosting on the cake, or, in this case, the roll, is the best part or is the cinnamon and sugar filling the best part? I think it's a toss-up.

Homemade Cinnamon Rolls With Cream Cheese Icing

My grandmother made the best cinnamon rolls I ever ate. As with many good cooks, when you asked for the recipe, she would say, "Well, you add a pinch of this and a dab of that, etc." Yeah, I know exactly what the measurements are, lol.

I found this recipe to be as close to hers as I could get. These rolls are soft and gooey, especially when they first come out of the oven and get that spread of cream cheese frosting.cinnamon roll ingredients

    5. While the dough is rising, prepare the filling. Mix the softened butter, brown sugar, and ground cinnamon in a small bowl until well combined.
    6. Punch it down once the dough has risen to release any air bubbles. Roll it out into a rectangle shape, about ¼ inch thick.making cinnamon rolls
