Turkey Dinnerware Sets

Turkey dinnerware is perfect for Thanksgiving but doesn't need to be dedicated solely to the Thanksgiving holiday. It can also be used for Christmas, Easter, or rustic dinnerware for everyday use.

From dinner plates, salad plates, and bowls to serving dishes and more, there are many styles of turkey dinnerware for you to consider. Investing in holiday dinnerware can be expensive but well worth it for the atmosphere it creates.

There are many types of turkey dinnerware sets to meet every décor taste. The choices are colorful and exquisite, antique or contemporary, and fancy to rustic!

Etsy for turkey dinnerware

You may not think about Etsy for this reason unless you've shopped for dinnerware from there before, but I found many great vintage plates with turkeys on them, and they were at reasonable prices, too. You can expect to pay more for rarer items. For example, I found a 1960s antique Johnson Brothers brown transfer plate from the Barnyard King collection. The Tom Turkey plate alone was almost $70, but the pricing makes sense when you think of what it is. If someone really needed this to complete their collection, it wouldn't seem like a bad deal. 

I also saw a full set of 8 plates from the Vintage American Traditions King Tom Turkey set, and they were only $135. If you're unfamiliar with them, these are oversized dinner plates, perfect for Thanksgiving or other holidays when people will be stacking their plates full. 

I also found some designs from Barker Brothers, other patterns from Johnson Brothers, and some unknown brands with turkey plates and patterns. I was shocked at how much selection there was on Etsy.

You can always look for your favorite dinnerware patterns on eBay, especially if they are discontinued and unavailable in the store. This can be a great place to find a complete set someone is willing to part with or search for individual or replacement pieces to a set you are collecting. 

You can also consider Spode or Corelle for a complete dinnerware set. They have some great boxed dinnerware sets. And they have also carried turkey patterns.

And, of course, we can trust Williams Sonoma to bring us something great like turkey dinnerware, too. Their Plymouth Turkey Dinnerware Collection is a beautiful option and exclusive to their store. This set would look fantastic on the family dinner table any time of year, but especially during the fall season. 

Antique Turkey Décor

If you love decorating your table with antique or vintage dishes, eBay is the place to find spectacular turkey dishes and accessories to bring your table to life. If you're lucky, you will find a complete antique China dinnerware set, but if you don't, you can always use solid-colored dinnerware and turkey accessories, like a turkey platter or salt and pepper shakers.

When trying to find replacements or missing pieces for a set, looking at places that sell vintage décor is a great idea. eBay is a good start. You can also check Buy/Sell/Trade groups, forums for dinnerware collectors, and antique stores.

Contemporary Turkeys

Churchill China makes an exquisite turkey pattern, Thanksgiving Turkey. It is English earthenware with an 18th-century style; however, the foliage and border make it look modern. It is microwave and dishwasher-safe, so it is easy to take care of and has a beautiful pattern for holidays or everyday use. You can look for other contemporary designs, such as Certified International brand on Amazon. 

Rustic Turkey Dinnerware

If rustic is your style, you will love Spode Celebration Turkey Thanksgiving Dinnerware. This is my favorite, but brown is my decorating color, and rustic is my style. Also, you can choose rustic-themed dinnerware and have a single turkey piece as an accent - such as a turkey serving platter or large bowl. This is one way to bring the turkeys into the theme without overpowering it. 

Another thing I love about this kitchen and dining room theme is the many available accessories to match. You can find kitchen curtains, hand towels, floor mats, placemats for your table, and more in a turkey theme. I've even seen beautiful turkey salt and pepper shakers and napkin holders.
